Disadvantages of Tableau: 

1. Restrictions with custom formatting: 

Tableau includes custom formatting features and is limited to 16 columns which is found to be difficult for the Tableau users. Also, there is no option of feature where we can implement or add the formatting directly to multiple fields. Hence, it is time consuming for users to do it manually. 

2. Automatic scheduling is not allowed: 

Tableau does not provide the flexibility to refresh the reports automatically with the process of scheduling.This is not an option available in the Tableau to schedule directly. Hence it has three users who have to intervene to update the data in the backend manually.

4. Pricing: 

The pricing would be appropriate and comfortable for large-scale organizations. The pricing would be more and cannot be affordable by the users in the small scale organization. 

Disadvantages of QlikView: 

1.Technical expertise: 

The users who work on QlikView should have technical knowledge and application knowledge. The process is complex which would require training. However, as QlikView involves scripting languages, it was free knowledge of the software because of the complex computations within it. 

2. Embedding: 

If you would like to embed QlikView software into any other software, it will be turned to a mess and confusing. 

3. Old functionalities: 

Qlikview does not include any enhanced functionality like drag and drop feature, which makes things easier. It lacks new methods and Designs that will help in cutting edge technology.
