The Version Report displays the progress made by your team in producing a version. According to your team's average development rate (velocity) since the version's beginning and the projected quantity of work still to be done, the Version Report also displays the anticipated Release Date.
Releases serve as milestones for your project. They could be used to plan the release of features to your users or to arrange effort that has already been accomplished for the project. Each release of Jira Software is referred to as a version.
The fix version is the one that you intend to distribute to clients along with a new feature or bug fix. This field is utilized for generating reports, tracking velocity and progress, and release planning.
Any page in JIRA has a footer where you can find the Jira Software version. It will be typeset in grey. Alternative: Select Applications > Versions and Licenses. Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, and Jira Core versions are all visible there.
