How to resolve field custom validation exception in salesforce?

 I continuously see an error called Error-[FIELD_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_EXCEPTION] The subject field cannot exceed 80 characters in length… how can I resolve it?

You need to make sure that the event subject field should not meet the maximum number of characters that are permitted within Salesforce or you can also increase the maximum number of characters that are permitted to the custom field within the Salesforce.
