Azure Databricks is a Spark-based analytics service provided in the Microsoft Azure platform. It is mostly used in data science for data engineering, analytics, and machine learning. It has the ability to process batch and streaming workloads. It provides the complete functionality of Apache Spark. We can create and deploy highly-optimized Spark clusters, which perform 50x faster. Users can integrate it easily with Azure security and data services.

Azure Databricks is different from Azure Data Factory. Azure Databricks provides in-memory computing as it is based on Apache Spark. Azure Data Factory provides the ability to map data flows, path optimization, code translation, and data flow job execution.
