what is azure ad connect? Is it a Product? Service? Is it something related to the security aspect of the azure cloud? Can somebody clarify?

Azure AD Connect is used to connect on-premises identity infrastructure to Microsoft Azure AD. Yes, it is indeed related to the security aspect of Azure. It offers features like password hash synchronization, health monitoring, federation integration, and pass-through authentication. With Azure AD Connect, users will be able to access both cloud and on-premises resources with a common identity.
