Data Mining: Data mining is referred to as the process of extracting useful information from the large volumes of data. It helps in discovering the new, accurate, valuable patterns by looking into the most relevant information.

Machine Learning: Machine Learning is referred to as the process of discovering the algorithms, designing, studying and developing the algorithms that permit the machines to learn without any intervention from the human end.

In simple terms, data mining research purely depends and includes gathering and exploring data, determining new patterns. Machine learning is something more than data mining. Machine learning comprises gathering the machine learning algorithms and data gathering approaches that help you meet the client requirements.
