How to change the default replication factor in Hadoop?

I have configured Hadoop Cluster. I want to change the default replication factor. How can I do that?

Yes, it is possible to change the default replication factor in the Hadoop cluster. It is possible from the client end. The client will decide the replication factor as per their requirements. You need to navigate to the Hadoop configuration folder in the client node. Now its your turn to set one property as represented below:


<property>

<name>dfs.replication</name>

<value>2</value>

</property>
